How it all began…
In 2012 the diversity-expert Manfred Wondrak from factor-D Diversity Consulting and Manuel Bräuhofer, founder and CEO of the diversity marketing agency brainworker – communicating diversity teamed up and created the idea of a career fair for diverse talents. What started in 2012 as a small career fair, led to the foundation of the firm “fair.versity Messe- und Eventmanagement GmbH & Co OG” and the establishment of fair.versity Austria as a successful fair- and Eventmanagement Start-Up as well as to the implementation of further diversity events.
2013: The first fair.versity with the topic of cultural diversity
Already at its start on September 23rd, 2013 fair.versity offered a considerable agenda with focus on cultural diversity. 40 companies exhibited as potential employers. In Workshops the 1.500 visitors learned how to plan their career with diverse backgrounds – one speaker was for example Sohyi Kim from “Kim kocht”.
Among the 40 exhibitors, that value diversity and potential growth in their companies, were REWE International AG, Trenkwalder Personaldienste, Heerespersonalamt and Stadt Wien. Apart from the CV-Check fair.versity Austria 2013 offered an Implus-VisionsCoaching.

Various new companies took the chance to participate as exhibitors for the first time to represent an attractive and diverse employer. Among the exhibitors were Erste Group Bank AG, BMW Motorenwerke Steyr, Infineon, Österreichische Post AG and Vienna Insurance Group. Furthermore many organizations and diversity consultants presented their portfolio. In 2014 the focus of the agenda was on “Gender and Diversity”.
